Biotechnology Executive Pipeline
In a longstanding engagement since 2010, Susan has supported the Leadership of the Biotechnology division for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. This engagement began as it was recognized that the majority of the Leadership Team were nearing retirement and an updated process for identifying, assessing, and preparing successors was needed. Partnering with the division’s Leadership Team, Susan shaped a long-term talent development strategy with the intent to build a cadre of Vice-President successors.
Susan has assessed and coached all key colleagues, consulted in building a talent management infrastructure and processes, and contributed to succession planning. The talent strategy has executed on six successful leadership successions at the senior level to date, as well as creating many opportunities for the talent pool, from stretch assignments and transitions to coaching and stewardship of key colleagues. Additionally, a culture of development and proactive leadership behavior is evident.
